Lord of the Sea: the Life and Legacy of Thomas Cochrane

Disgraced and exiled from Britain for his radical, liberal ideas and disregard for authority, Lord Thomas Cochrane became a founding hero of Chile. Through the poem, Cochrane de Chile by Pablo Neruda, this exhibition explored the life and legacy of Lord Thomas Cochrane in Britain and Southern America.

Hosted at the Embassy of Chile in London as part of the bi-centennial celebrations of the Chilean Navy.
